SHAQUILLE'S QUECHUAN GURU was born on Moon Ivy Hill with the Close-Knit Alpacas herd in early November 2008, to the superbly fleeced dam, Sandhill Mahogany Rose. Rosie has held onto a very fine fleece in deep rich maroon, so her cria sired by the famous SHAQUILLE was much anticipated!
Guru has grown into quite the impressive male, with a compact frame, terrific, straight bone and exquisite fleece!
Guru has a calm and peaceful countenance, and gets along well with the other males in his group. He is not aggressive, but walks into a pasture, a paddock, an arena or a yard and immediately steps into the position of leadership alongside his best friend, Close-Knit Freedom de Napoleon...in a calm and respectful way. There is no question, Guru is a future herdsire.
It's not surprising that Guru possesses so many fine characteristics, when you look at his family tree: 5Peruvian Quicksilver 9057 is one of his grandsires...the multi-champion 5Peruvian Quechua (DRG) is another, bringing in the strong Allianza lines via his dam, 5Peruvian Aymara 8708.
Guru's paternal great grandsire is none other than the medium fawn super-stud, PPeruvian Leon G4560, and his great, great grandsire is, of course, the famous silver grey known worldwide as The Silversmith HST G452.
Guru's fleece has beautiful crimp and staple length; wonderfully springy density; the mesmerizing color is remarkably uniform; and the handle to his fleece is a spinner's DREAM COME TRUE.
Guru is capturing the attention of discriminating breeders, and has already begun to garner advanced bookings for his first breedings (anticipating 2010-2011). Contact us ASAP to meet and book, "GURU...He has all you've been looking for!"
