"Captain" is an unusual find. He is actually a GREY alpaca, genetically. He is a "stealth grey," though he is beige in color with dark, grey pigmentation, and fleece with the fineness and density of elite Accoyo genetics, via his grandsire, the late and great PPeruvian Pluro. Pluro's son Accoyo Pluro's Smokey is also a producer of champions. We have not shown Captain due to (a) our newness to the industry when he was first purchased, but (b) his fleece has characteristics more like a grey than a beige or white colored animal. We expect to continue experiencing great things for the breeding program from this stellar, beautifully conformed Macho: Fleecy Dale Captain Courageous!

The Captain's genetics are really something special. A beautiful, super-fine, 18.4 micron beige fleeced boy, Captain's got grey coursing through his veins from both sides of his pedigree.

His sire is the well-known and popular "Smokey," and his grandsire is the much loved and respected, late Accoyo macho "PPeruvian Pluro." Captain's dam is a rare, smokey, medium rose grey, but with a dark face (most greys have a white or light colored face), and she is known by "Ariebella" as well as "Camelot's Silver Belle." Her sire is the famous 5Peruvian Camelot 9040...a gorgeous maroon macho.

Aside from all of the obvious genetic and phenotypic qualities, Captain is exceptional due to his pleasant, easy-going disposition. He was trained for obstacle courses, which makes him a breeze in the "handling" department!
