From the outset, it was clear that working to develop FINENESS (with a companion-goal of improvement in density of fiber), above all else, would be paramount to the success of Alpaca not only in this country (the USA), but world-wide. This became our "Focus #1."
Second, it was evident that the advantage the United States will have over all other parts of the world, including South America, is ALL-NATURAL, COLORED ALPACA FIBER OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. That became our "Focus #2."
Third, it became obvious that while, as far as we can tell from the vast research we have conducted, alpaca is ONE OF THE MOST VIABLE, VERSATILE, EARTH-FRIENDLY & ATTRACTIVE TEXTILE FIBERS ON EARTH, it is mandatory that we work with others toward the overall "exposure and education" of our communities about this wonderful fiber. That became our "Focus #3."
We strive to provide a variety of opportunities for all sorts of people and personalities to come out and learn more about the realities of what it is, and what it is not, to have alpaca and alpaca products in their lives.
We discovered, through the acquisition of, and close-knit connections to, some of the most outstanding herd sires in our industry, that these Stellar Herd Sires (of ideal qualities and temperament) will bring us all closer to the fullest realization of our goals than any "second-best" ever could imagine doing.
